In “Good Fortune,” Seth Rogen and Keanu Reeves have been cast.
The two will play the lead roles in Aziz Ansari’s comedic film, which he is also writing and directing.
In the Lionsgate movie, which will start filming in Los Angeles next month, the “Parks and Recreation” star will appear alongside Rogen and Reeves.
The film will be produced by Ansari, Anthony Katagas, and Alan Yang; the plot elements are being kept under wraps.
Joe Drake, the head of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, said: “With this movie, we have definitely been lucky. We adore the writing and have high regard for Aziz as a director and performer.
And with Seth and Keanu, two truly outstanding actors of the highest caliber, leading the cast alongside Aziz, this may turn out to be a very wonderful movie for us. Once this project became available, we acted immediately to secure it.

Seth, who voices Donkey Kong in “The Super Mario Bros. Movie,” hinted that the gorilla might appear in a spin-off movie a like “Fast and Furious.”
There’s a ton of possibilities there, he told Collider. The Kong family unit appears to remain intact, and if the “Fast and Furious” films have taught us anything, it’s that family is everything.
Rogen outlined how he approached the role of Donkey Kong in a way that allowed him to have a “good dynamic with the other characters” and be funny when appropriate.
According to the “Knocked Up” star, “The voice sounds like me. I’ve completed many of these. I never alter my voice. One of those actors is not me.
“Finding a way that the character has a good comedic dynamic with the other characters and making sure I feel like I can just be funny in the scenes was important to me,” the actor said. That’s how I played Donkey Kong.

“Where that landed was this idea that he just despises Mario [voiced by Chris Pratt] and that he’s really displeased that he’s stuck with him the entire movie,” the author said.
