According to Megan Thee Stallion, it never occurred to her that people would not believe the claims she made against Tory Lanez.

In a recent interview with Elle, the Traumazine rapper discussed the guilty decision in Lanez’s trial. She claims that the lengthy conversation will be her final public statement on the subject.

The idea that people wouldn’t believe me never occurred to Megan. “My adversary worked to undermine my power for years by using social media. Imagine what it would be like to hear that accusation every day.

The rapper from Toronto was ultimately convicted guilty of shooting Megan following a party in the summer of 2020. He was found guilty of three felonies and could spend up to 20 years in jail. Megan added, “Yet, I knew the truth and the undeniable facts would triumph. I had put in far too much effort to get to this position in my job to be discouraged by jeers. On December 23, 2022, when the guilty verdict was announced, it was more than simply my vindication; it was also a win for every woman who had ever been humiliated, dismissed, and held responsible for a violent crime against her.

Megan reports that she is currently feeling considerably better but is still struggling with residual anxiety from the whole experience. “I’m in a happier place, but I still have anxiety,” she confessed to the publication. “I see this stage of my life as a component of my journey, but I refuse to let it define my path. I’ve been dragged through the muck, but I’m so grateful that I can now emerge from it with a fresh viewpoint.

However, Tory Lanez isn’t giving up just yet. He’s filed a motion asking for a new trial, claiming that jurors were “erroneously allowed” to view an Instagram comment. According to reports, Lanez said in the comment that Kelsey Harris, a former acquaintance of Megan, was not the shooter.
