According to Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, your Instagram bio can now have up to five links. He made the announcement in a post on his Instagram account on Tuesday. It was “probably one of the most requested features we’ve had,” he wrote.
By modifying your profile in the mobile app, you can add links and change their order of appearance by giving them titles. The visitor to your profile will still need to click through the message “[Your first link] and 1 other” to see the list of links if you’ve added more than one link. This means that regardless of what, people will always need to click on your links if you have more than one link to include on either your Instagram profile or already utilize a “Link in bio” service like Linktree.
Even so, having it integrated into Instagram is a useful tool that can attract users searching for a new social media network after Elon Musk’s takeover of Twitter. It appears like Meta was similarly motivated by Twitter to begin offering paid verification, although at least Meta’s version has advantages like direct customer service rather than the embarrassment of Twitter Blue.
