Teyana Taylor Confirms Dionne Warwick Role In Upcoming Biopic: 'That's My Girl,'

Teyana Taylor is already hard at work on her upcoming project! The actress from A Thousand and One confirmed this week that she has formally signed on to play Dionne Warwick in a forthcoming movie while appearing as a guest on Tamron Hall.

When Hall inquired about Taylor potentially portraying the legendary singer-songwriter, Taylor replied, “We’re already working on it.”

The triple threat talent, 31, said, “Right now, we’re in the building process. I always wanted to be certain that I could connect with whoever I was performing.

Taylor continued by making mention of Jamie Foxx’s Oscar-winning portrayal of Ray Charles in Ray and Angela Bassett’s Oscar-nominated portrayal of Tina Turner in What’s Love Got to Do With It.

Taylor mentioned that she has been doing her research and talking to Warwick, who is 81 years old.
