As he gets ready to fill out his life sentence, Nipsey Hussle’s killer has been forewarned that prison life will be “hell.”

In a widely shared video of a recent court appearance in Los Angeles, Eric Holder Jr. was warned that life in prison would be difficult because “all the gangs” would seek vengeance on him for the murder of the adored Victory Lap rapper.

According to Hollywood Unlocked, Holder’s attorney issued the warning rather than the judge overseeing the case, likely in an effort to have Holder taken into protective custody.

In the video, the attorney warned the court that “once he gets to state prison, he’s a target.” “All the gangs and everyone who adored Nipsey Hussle have given him the go-ahead. His time in jail will therefore be hell for however long it lasts.

Holder was found guilty of murdering Nipsey Hussle in March 2019 outside his Marathon Clothing shop in South Los Angeles. Holder received a sentence of 60 years to life in prison last month.

The two men’s alleged conversation in which Nipsey warned Holder that he had “paperwork” on him, suggesting that he had cooperated with police, is what led to the fatal shooting.

Holder later returned and shot the Crenshaw rapper 11 times while also wounding two other men, his attorney claimed during the hearing. Holder was “triggered” by the “serious accusation.”

The 33-year-old was found guilty of first-degree murder, attempted voluntary manslaughter, and assault for shooting the other victims last July. According to the Los Angeles Times, the defendant showed no emotion after the decision was announced.

Holder’s lengthy jail term is expected to be dangerous, but since his arrest in April 2019, he has had a difficult time adjusting to life behind bars. Last June, two other prisoners attacked the gang member in the prison, cutting him with a razor on the back of his skull.

Aaron Jansen, Holder’s public defender, claimed that his client needed three staples placed in the back of his skull. After the assault, Holder was captured in a photograph sitting in court with swollen cheeks, an eye, and head wounds.
