Mark Zuckerberg has returned with yet another contentious revelation, months after it was revealed that Meta would be letting go of roughly 11,000 workers.

Nowadays, social media platforms are making every effort to maintain your interest. Each week, users observe the addition and removal of features. Now, it seems like Zuckerberg is studying Elon Musk. There were differing opinions when he revealed that Meta would be launching a new paid verification membership service.

For those that have been desiring a blue check mark next to their name, your time has come. According to multiple reports, Meta Verified will become available this week in Australia and New Zealand. Users will pay $11.99 per month, or $14.99 on iOS, and will also receive direct access to customer support.

Meta Hopes To Combat Imposter Accounts

Connecting with anyone who works for the business is incredibly difficult, which is one of the main criticisms of Meta. Furthermore, in the past, dishonest people would imitate and copy superstars in an effort to con unsuspecting people. A famous impersonator’s scams affect thousands of social media users every day. But not only the well-known have fell prey to these scams. Additionally, regular individuals have been hacked or had their photos used fraudulently.

Zuckerberg added about the new feature, “This new feature is about improving authenticity and security across our services. The business explained in a press release that it will start testing a new service called Meta Verified, a subscription package on Instagram and Facebook that includes a verified badge that authenticates your account with government ID, proactive account protection, access to account support, and increased visibility and reach. Mark Zuckerberg announced the new service today. To determine what is most valuable, we will launch a gradual test in Australia and New Zealand later this week. We then intend to introduce Meta Verified to the rest of the globe shortly after.

Meta Provides Extra Features

Additionally, it appears that Meta will increase subscription creators’ visibility in the recommendations and remark areas. They also assert that subscribers will have access to material that is reserved for them, but they have not provided any details. Will you participate?
