According to recent reports, music and fashion mogul Kanye West won’t be charged in connection with the incident in which a video showed him allegedly grabbing a woman’s mobile phone while under investigation for an alleged battery.

When the footage of him throwing West’s phone into the street as he left his daughter North’s basketball game surfaced, the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department was already looking into the incident.

You can hear Kanye saying, “Y’all ain’t going to run up on me like that,” in the footage. If I say, “Stop,” tell your cams to turn off.

This episode is yet another victory in Kanye’s battle for privacy as a celebrity. He is well-known for his frequent run-ins with paparazzi, which occasionally get physical for Ye. He was accused of punching a photographer, knocking him unconscious, and avoiding another battery conviction last year. Even Yeezy made light of the altercation during Jimmy Kimmel Live! by joking that “that covid mask couldn’t halt that right hook.”
