Costa Titch, A 28-Year-Old Rapper, Died After Collapsing Onstage During A Music Event

Rapper Costa Titch, 28, passed away this weekend after collapsing on Saturday at a music event in Johannesburg, according to a statement posted on Instagram by his family. No immediate reason of death was given.

“Tragically, death has arrived at our door. stealing our grandson, beloved son, and sibling from us. The family posted a message on the rapper’s Instagram page about Constantinos Tsobanoglou (28), better known by his stage name “Costa Titch,” who South Africans had grown to adore and admire.

Soon after Costa Titch’s demise was reported, the Ultra Music Festival South Africa’s organizers also released a statement, tweeting: “We are heartbroken over the tragic passing this weekend of the adored South African singer Costa Titch. The amapiano movement in South Africa was energized by Costa, a gifted rapper, dancer, songwriter, collaborator, and festival friend.”

The rapper began his work as a backup dancer before deciding to pursue rap music. He was born in Nelspruit, South Africa.

Costa Titch is best known for fusing trap rhythms with traditional South African culture. The rapper’s single “Big Flexa,” which became a TikTok hit in 2021, was his most well-known tune. Later, a remix of the single with Akon on the soundtrack was made available.
