Bam Margera, a former Jackass actor, was detained for domestic abuse.
The skateboarder and stunt performer was detained last Thursday (March 2) after deputies from the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department were summoned to a residence in Escondido, California, according to TMZ.
The deputies were informed by a lady that Margera had kicked her, per the report. On the basis of an allegation of corporal injury to a current or past spouse, cohabitant, dating partner, or fellow parent, he was taken into custody and lodged at the Vista Detention Facility.
It continues by saying that, in accordance with the SDCSD, the Jackass actor posted bail in the amount of $50,000 (£42,000) the day after his detention and was subsequently let go.
No charges will be filed in the case from the District Attorney’s office, according to a spokesperson who spoke to TMZ, because that office only brings charges when it is confident that it can prove them beyond a reasonable question. It’s uncertain whether additional accusations will be brought.

According to a source who spoke to the media, Margera’s claimed victim is actually his current girlfriend, not his divorced wife Nikki Boyd.
Boyd and Margera discreetly split up in 2021, and last month Boyd requested a legal divorce from Margera.
Boyd is asking for spousal support, court expenses to be paid by Margera, physical and legal custody of her and Margera’s five-year-old son Phoenix, as well as other things.
Boyd’s attorney David Glass said in a statement provided to the publication that Nikki Margera felt compelled to file for formal separation from her husband, Bam Margera, because of his ongoing drug and alcohol abuse, unpredictable behavior, and failure to support her and their son.
“Nikki has given everything she has to try to get Bam to stay sober and to try to preserve her family,” the statement continued.
Through his ongoing battles with substance abuse, Boyd told the magazine last year, “We adore Bam, both as a husband and father. Since 2013, the couple had been married.

She continued, “We hope that he will give it everything he’s got this time at this new rehab facility so he can finish his treatment and return to the family that loves him.
Margera informed his Jackass co-star Steve-O that his descent into alcoholism was in part a result of his obsession with Valo when he joined a one-year drug and alcohol rehab program in 2021.
Margera recently affirmed that after experiencing seizures and acquiring a blood infection, he was “basically pronounced dead,” according to other sources.
