Coming soon to a home near you is Ed Sheeran. The “Bad Habits” performer revealed on Tuesday (Feb. 21) that he has developed Tingly Ted’s, a brand of hot sauce with Kraft Heinz that is based on his childhood nickname, Ted.

The musician revealed the information in a video that was uploaded to his Instagram account and explained why he decided to launch his own line of spicy sauce.

It’s no mystery that I enjoy eating. But as I get older, the more flavor I need. As a result, we created Tingly Ted’s hot condiment. We essentially whittled it down to the best flavors and chilis,” Sheeran said in the video. “I developed this over time with some expert hot-sauce makers. I wanted it to have the same consistency as ketchup and to occupy a more prominent position on my rack or in the refrigerator rather than being tucked away in the same cabinet as the other hot sauces.

“I felt like something was deeply lacking in my life, and after much soul-searching, I realized it was a proper hot sauce,” Sheeran wrote as the caption for the endearing short. Thus, I created @tinglyteds. I adore it; look for it shortly on a shelf near you under the hashtags “#therockhastequilaihavehotsauce #bizznizzman #fridge.”

The collaboration with the four-time Grammy winner excites Kraft Heinz’s EVP and president of foreign markets, Rafael Oliveira. When we heard Ed wanted to create his own hot sauce, we of course wanted in, he said in a press release. “It’s unusual to find someone who is as passionate about sauces as we are – and it’s no secret Ed is already one of the biggest Heinz Tomato Ketchup fans you can find,” he said. “We invited Ed to work with us and worked quickly to create a recipe that realized his idea. We eagerly anticipate everyone’s testing it.

There are two types of Tingly Ted’s: Tingly and Extreme Tingly. The Xtra Tingly sauce, which boasts a 39 percent jalapeo content, is recommended for those looking to up the spiciness factor. The Tingly sauce is described as a “medium hot sauce that feels like a warming embrace in a bottle.” The sauces “are the ideal squeeze for your fries, nuggets, falafels, fried chicken or, quite honestly, any meal at all,” according to the Tingly Ted’s website.

Tingly Ted’s fans and hot sauce connoisseurs will have to wait to sample it because an official release date for the sauces has not been disclosed. The two sauces can be pre-ordered for £6 on tinglyteds.co.uk in Europe, Japan, and New Zealand.
