For a while now, Instagram has allowed users to reply to Stories with an Animation. The feature will soon be added to its comment area.
According to PiunikaWeb, Instagram users will now be able to use a GIF in their remark on a picture or video in the main stream.
Although Instagram hasn’t officially announced the feature, some users have spotted a GIF button where they would normally type their text comments. A search bar and some sample GIFs are displayed when you click the button, along with the ability to seek for particular GIFs.

The GIFs will be sourced from GIPHY, offering users a wide range of material to choose from, similar to Stories or even iMessage.
It is still unclear when Instagram will make the feature accessible to a larger audience or which nations will get it first.
