Pop diva and businesswoman Rihanna congratulated NBA player LeBron James for shattering the NBA scoring record last night on Instagram.

The singer and creator of Fenty Beauty may be seen in an Instagram video sporting a pearl gray leather zip-front jacket from Rick Owens with an orange lamb shearling trim. The jacket has a waxy texture, a dropped armhole, two sizable square side pockets, and a hood.

The Rick Owens jacket worn by Rihanna is from the brand’s fall 2022 collection, which was inspired by silent film and the 1930s.

In the video, Rihanna praised James’ new record and expressed her gratitude for being present for it.

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar had held the record for the most points scored in NBA history for 39 years until James, a player for the Los Angeles Lakers, broke it on Tuesday during a game between the Lakers and the Oklahoma City Thunder. After making a 21-foot shot in the third quarter, James broke Abdul-record Jabbar’s of 38,387 points in his 20th season in the NBA. The new mark for James is 38,390 points.

Abdul-Jabbar, who had previously played for the Lakers, was present for the momentous occasion. In a gesture that was perceived as a torch-passing, he clutched the ball before giving it to James.

This Sunday’s Super Bowl halftime show will feature a performance by Rihanna in addition to her time spent congratulating James. The Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs will square off in this year’s Super Bowl.

Ahead of the Super Bowl, the beauty mogul also unveiled a game day collection for Fenty Beauty and Fenty Skin that was inspired by football. The line sells individual goods as well as a group kit packaged in football-inspired style. A Savage x Fenty game day collection for Rihanna’s intimates and clothing label has also been unveiled.
