Because Coolio passed away without leaving a will, his old manager had to represent him in probate court.

According to court records acquired by The Blast on Tuesday, Jarez Posey has started the legal procedure for having the late “Gangsta’s Paradise” rapper’s estate valued.

According to the document, Coolio’s seven adult children—all of whom wear his ashes as necklace pendants—are identified as his next of kin and the likely heirs to his estate.

Including “personal property and demand deposit accounts, financial accounts, insurance policies, and royalties,” the petition values Coolio’s estate at over $300,000.

However, the precise amount is still unknown.

A total of 10 children were born to Coolio, whose real name was Artis Leon Ivey Jr.

On September 28, the “Hit ‘Em High” performer, age 59, was discovered dead on the floor of his friend’s washroom. The paramedics thought Coolio had experienced a heart arrest. Later, sources told TMZ that his pals thought his lifelong battle with asthma may have led to his passing.
