The actor Nicki Aycox, who was well-known for her appearances on Supernatural, has passed away. She was 47.

Susan Raab Ceklosky, Aycox’s sister-in-law, confirmed the death in a Facebook post, but she did not specify the reason.

“Nicki Aycox Raab, my gorgeous, intelligent, fierce, extraordinarily brilliant, and beloved sister-in-law, died away yesterday with my brother, Matt Raab, by her side. In California, Nicki and Matt enjoyed a lovely life together. Everyone who knew her adored her, and she was undoubtedly a fighter,” she said.

Between 2006 to 2008, Aycox played Meg Masters on Supernatural and appeared in scenes alongside Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki.

Erik Kripke, the creator of Supernatural, expressed his regret at Aycox’s passing on Twitter, writing: “Gutted to learn the brilliant #NickiAycox, our first #MegMasters, passed away. too little. She was delightful and delivered lines with venom and honey. I’m in awe of how she elevated a common phrase like “lackluster” to legendary status.

In addition to Ally McBeal, The X-Files, Boy Meets World, Providence, Dark Blue, USA High, Ed, Law & Order, Las Vegas, Cold Case, LAX, and Ed are just a few of the actor’s previous television appearances.

Aycox’s filmography includes, among others, Jeepers Creepers 2, Perfect Stranger, Tom Cool, Christina, and The Girl on the Train. Her most recent acting role was in the 2014 movie Dead on Campus, when she played Danielle Williams.
