Nelly and Ashanti have returned — sort of. The rapper and singer dated for over a decade before splitting up in 2014.

The aesthetically pleasing couple gave fans a glimpse into their former love with a steamy performance at Power 98.3 and Power 96.1’s “Under The Mistletoe” concert over the weekend.

As she dropped in low in front of her ex-beau, Ashanti wore a bottomless magenta ensemble. The “Rain On Me” singer’s dance moves impressed Nelly. He was beaming as the pair sang their 2008 smash hit “Body On Me.”

Fans enjoyed the former couple’s steamy performance. Syleena Johnson, a singer, commented on the Shaderoom’s post about Nelly and Ashanti. “They appeal to me,” she wrote. “They should rekindle their relationship.” “I want them back together,” another fan said. This time, Nelly marries her and has a child with her. Ashanti is a lovely lady.”

Social media users couldn’t stop mentioning Irv Gotti, Ashanti’s former Murder Inc. boss. Gotti made headlines earlier this year when he claimed to be married and had a relationship with Ashanti when she was signed to the label. “That Ashanti and Nelly clip will have Irv Gotti fighting and screaming in his sleep,” one Twitter user predicted.

Back in October, the “Happy” singer responded to Irv’s allegations of betrayal. “I think Irv is just hurt and doesn’t know where to put his hurt.” And he has no idea how to channel it as a man. It’s heartbreaking. In my heart, I truly believe Irv wishes to kill me. “One hundred percent.” After seven years together, Nelly and longtime girlfriend Miss Jackson reportedly called it quits last year.

During an appearance on The Real, Jackson discussed her divorce from Country Grammar’s star. “A break, split, but I feel like it’s important that we just do it.” It’s important to me because if our relationship is going to come back, it’s going to come back.
