The Masked Singer’s eighth season finale took place on Wednesday night, and it revealed Amber Riley as the winner and the artist hiding behind the golden harp mask (Nov. 30).

Standing ovation from the audience followed the 36-year-old multihyphenate’s statement to host Nick Cannon, “This has been such a fantastic experience.”

“I just wanted to be able to walk out here and be totally covered so my talent could speak for itself. Additionally, I sing because I love people and want them to experience my music and heal. I bared my soul on this platform, so I hope everyone could feel it.

The Glee alumnae have won on competing reality shows before. On Dancing With the Stars’ 17th season, Riley and her dance partner Derek Hough won the coveted mirrorball trophy. Though many have attempted it, she is the only talent to have won both competitions.

Wayne Brady, the season two champion of The Masked Singer, competed in this year’s Dancing With The Stars season 13 finals but finished in third place. Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert are the proud owners of both medals; she won The Masked Singer’s seventh season, while he won DWTS’s 30th.

Amber Riley sang vocally strong renditions of pop and R&B songs during her tenure on The Masked Singer, including “Perfect” by Pink, “I Have Nothing” by Whitney Houston, “About Damn Time” by Lizzo, “The Edge of Glory” by Lady Gaga, and “Gravity” by John Mayer.

“I entered The Masked Singer because I’m a fan of the show, first and foremost. Riley said in the show’s Unmasked Interview series, “Two, I’m gon’ take any chance I get to sing, and three, it just looks like so much fun.
