Megan excitedly shared the information on her Instagram page with the caption: “First BLACK WOMAN on thee cover of @forbes 30 under 30 [fire emoji]” Money emojis for real hot chick sh*t. I’ll see you all soon, Hotties.
The Texan Southern University alum was chosen by the finance and business journal not only for her ground-breaking music but also for her business and charitable endeavors throughout the year. Forbes published a cover story on the 27-year-several old’s business endeavors after he appeared on the list three years prior.
The publication claims that the Traumazine rapstress has made a ton of money by working with multibillion dollar companies like Nike, Revlon, and Cash App. Additionally, she has endorsement agreements with food companies including Popeyes, where she now has her own franchise after unveiling it last year, and Frito-Hot Lay’s Flaming Cheetos.

Aside from money, Megan has had a difficult few years as she waits for the rapper/singer Tory Lanez’s trial to begin; he is accused of shooting her in the foot in 2020.
A letter offering support was recently sent to the “Savage” rapper by a large number of influential people. On the lengthy list of signatories were Tamika Mallory, Tarana Burke, and Congresswoman Maxine Waters. Megan’s appearance on the cover of Forbes comes after she made history by being only the second female rapper in history to win Best New Artist at the 2021 Grammy Awards, succeeding Lauryn Hill in 1999.
Jack Harlow, Lil Durk, Baby Keem, The Kid Laroi, Don Toliver, Giveon, Tinashe, and Willow Smith were also included on the magazine’s list of the 30 Under 30 in the music category.
