The history of fictional billionaire Tony Stark, played by Robert Downey Jr. in the well-known superhero movie franchise, will be the subject of the game’s original narrative.

In a deal that gives it access to one of the most valuable entertainment companies, primarily because of the success of films based on characters from Marvel comics, EA said the new games will be available on both consoles and PC.

To create Star Wars-themed games for mobile devices, PCs, and consoles, EA previously collaborated with Marvel owner Walt Disney Co (DIS.N).

EA, based in Redwood City, California, joins a host of other industry titans who have chosen well-known superheroes for their games. Games based on Spider-Man have been released by Activision Blizzard (ATVI.O), while Batman-themed games have been created by Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment.
