Kanye West’s Donda Academy basketball squad was eliminated from a key basketball tournament.
The Scholastic Play-By-Play Classics indicated they will remove Ye’s squad off the schedule for the upcoming season due to his recent habit of offensive language.
With regard to their choice, Scholastic issued a statement in which they claimed that the former billionaire’s “words and actions violate our values as a company and a country” and that they wanted to “ensure a spirit of diversity, sportsmanship, inclusion, equity, and mutual respect” at their events.
The statement went on to discuss their difficult choice and express their sorrow for the team kids who will lose out “as a result of Kanye’s behavior.”
“While we are steadfast in our decision-making, that does not lessen our sorrow and concern for Donda’s dedicated athletes, who stand to lose the most as a result of Kanye’s actions. Unfortunately, we are unable to host an organization founded and run by Mr. West at our events in good faith.
Donda Academy was originally scheduled to take part in the Dec. 11 event in Louisville before the competition decided to disqualify the team from competition.
Players who aspire to play professionally someday should take the Play-By-Play Classics competition seriously. NBA players LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Kobe Bryant have all taken part in the major tournament in the past.

Guards Robert Dillingham and AJ Johnson, both five-star players, play for the basketball team at Donda Academy. Dillingham, the fifth-ranked prospect in the 2023 basketball class, recently committed to the University of Kentucky, according to ESPN.
Recently, Donda Sports suffered another setback as a result of Ye’s anti-Semitic remarks. Both NFL champion Aaron Donald and NBA superstar Jaylen Brown have severed connections with Donda Sports. On Tuesday, October 25, the athletes denounced the artist’s recent use of inflammatory language on Twitter.
