Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez appear to be infatuated in style!
The newlyweds, who tied the knot on July 16, arrived at the Ralph Lauren fashion show on Thursday in Southern California wearing identical all-black outfits. Lopez, 53, wore a chic pinstripe dress to the event, which honored the World of Ralph Lauren and the Spring 2023 designs. She finished the ensemble with a traditional black fedora and coordinating clutch.
Affleck, 50, complemented his wife’s outfit of a black suit, black tie, and white button-up. The Marry Me actress and Tender Bar actor were pictured holding hands while gazing tenderly into each other’s eyes.
They are well-known Ralph Lauren supporters.
In order to create a bridal capsule collection with three unique gowns for her Georgia wedding celebration on August 20, Lopez turned to the fellow Bronx native. She came down the aisle wearing a dress that had over 1,000 handkerchiefs manually sewn onto it. She completed the majestic appearance with a cathedral-length veil.
Later, Lopez changed into a gown made of chandelier pearls and embellished with Swarovski crystals, pearls, and tiny silk tulle pleats. Over the course of 700 hours, thirty artists hand-embroidered the unique, open-back pattern. Her third outfit had a chic mermaid shape and a detachable hood.
At the wedding, the groom likewise wore Ralph Lauren Couture, donning a white tuxedo jacket, black pants, and an identical bowtie.
In an article in her newsletter, On the JLo, Lopez commended Lauren for his creations, writing, “The outfits were beautiful… I’m grateful to Ralph Lauren.”
Lopez has enlisted the help of the Ralph Lauren design team for a number of significant red carpet appearances, including the 2021 Met Gala, which served as a romantic date night for the couple who had recently rekindled their romance. When Affleck and Lopez kissed through their masks for a photo while wearing Ralph Lauren clothing, it became an instantly famous moment.
Lopez collected the Fashion Icon Award at the 2019 CFDA Awards in a custom, abs-baring Ralph Lauren two-piece outfit. It featured a turtleneck crop top with crystal embellishments that displayed her toned stomach and a dramatic skirt with a sporty drawstring waist and a statement-making train.
“I love fashion,” Lopez said on the carpet at the event. “Growing up in the Bronx loving fashion, to be here tonight amongst all these designers and artists and to be honored for what I love to do anyway, it’s like a dream.”
