The horror genre has continued to feature legacy sequels, with titles like Halloween and Scream using the same name. Although Hellraiser is not a remake but rather a new story set in the same horrific environment, it promises to be something unique. The most recent film based on a book by Clive Barker now has a trailer.
This new movie, which was directed by David Bruckner of The Night House, centers on a young lady named Riley (Odessa A’zion), who is battling addiction and compulsive behavior. Riley unintentionally gets into contact with the box and regrettably starts to experiment with it.
Naturally, this attracts the savage cenobites’ attention, commanded by Pinhead (Jamie Clayton), who create various forms of torture for anyone daring to solve their conundrum. And since they can’t tell the difference between pain and pleasure, their victims don’t fare well.
Goran Visnjic, Adam Faison, Drew Starkey, and Brandon Flynn are also featured in the cast. On October 7, Hellraiser will be available on Hulu and Disney+ in the US.
