Marvel’s Kevin Feige gave MCU audiences a sneak preview of the upcoming films from the constantly growing cinematic universe. The fact that Phase 6 would conclude with two new Avengers films in May and November of 2025 had a significant role in that. Destin Daniel Cretton from Shang-Chi will be directing, and now Deadline has confirmed that legendary Rick & Morty writer Jeff Loveness will be working on the script.

Of course, Feige didn’t just hand Loveness the position on one of the studio’s biggest films by pulling him out of the Rick ranks. A version of Jonathan Majors’ Kang, who will undoubtedly be the main threat to that particular Avengers, appears in the script for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, which he has already been working on.

Not much is known about the movie at this time aside than the title and the most likely antagonist. It will be released on May 2, 2025, and Avengers: Secret Wars will follow on November 7, 2025.
