She adores her daughters! Following Kobe Bryant’s fatal helicopter crash in January 2020, which also killed their daughter Gianna, Vanessa Bryant has been gushing about her and Kobe Bryant’s daughters.

The 41-year-old basketball legend and his 13-year-old son passed away while en route to a Mamba Sports Academy game in Thousand Oaks, California.

In February 2020, Vanessa posted a touching homage to her late spouse along with an old photo of the NBA player. “#theBestdaddy #myBestfriend I really miss you,” she wrote at the time. “#lovinghusband, #handsome, #sweet, #funny, #silly. Miss hearing you say bonjourno principessa/reina.

Natalia, the couple’s first child, was born to the California native in 2003. Three years later, the couple welcomed Gianna, then Bianka in 2016 and Capri in 2019.

In October 2018, the Philadelphia native revealed to Jimmy Kimmel that Gianna had WNBA aspirations and wished to carry on his basketball legacy.

He raved about his athletic daughter’s “curiosity on the court” in an interview with The Los Angeles Times in October 2019. Gianna, he claimed, was “something else,” adding, “Even in a heated situation in a game where it’s back and forth, she can detach herself and come to me and ask a really specific question, which is unusual. She will approach and inquire, “Okay, do I need to modify my angle on this particular trap when I’m trying to narrow the distance but she’s getting on the outside?” It’s an extremely particular query. That’s quite cool, for sure.
