Drake has a lot of luck when it comes to gambling, but one of his most recent — and biggest — wins can be attributed to Lil Baby.
Last week, the OVO singer live-streamed himself playing roulette as part of a giveaway event with online casino platform Stake, during which he shared his winnings with fans all over the world.
Drake won a whopping $17.9 million on a single roulette bet during the high stakes session. Lil Baby walked into the room casually, just as the Toronto native and his friends burst out laughing.
“Can you tell me why that happened?” Drake said this while celebrating his big win. “Because Baby came in!” That is the reason.”
Lil Baby was more than Drake’s lucky charm. As Aubrey revealed during the Stake livestream, the Atlanta rapper was hard at work on a new collaboration at his sprawling Toronto estate’s home studio.
“By the way, my brother Lil Baby is currently in the studio.” “He’s cooking, and we’re working,” Drake said to the audience. “But he’s also going to come do some spins with us tonight.”
The untitled song will be added to the growing list of Drake and Lil Baby collaborations, which includes “Wants and Needs,” “Girls Want Girls,” “Yes Indeed,” and “Never Recover,” all of which have charted in the top 20 on the Billboard Hot 100.
This latest track appears to be destined for Baby’s upcoming album, which is set to be released this summer. It is the eagerly anticipated sequel to 2020’s My Turn.
On top of their successful studio partnership, Drake and Lil Baby shared the stage at the 2022 Festival Metro Metro in Montreal, Canada earlier this month. The 4PF lyricist brought out the Certified Lover Boy hitmaker as a surprise guest during his day two headlining set, with Drake performing hits such as “Nonstop,” “Way 2 Sexy” and “Headlines.”
