After being arrested in May on accusations of conspiracy to violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organization (RICO) Act alongside 26 other YSL associates, including Gunna, Young Thug was denied bond and will remain in Fulton County Jail for the foreseeable future.

When ABC News dug deeper into the 56-count indictment, they discovered that various Thugger tracks and lyrics from 2016 to 2021 are being cited and utilized as evidence against him. “Anybody,” “Take it to Trial,” “Ski” with Gunna,” and “Slatty” are among the Thug tracks.

The prosecution claims that Thug’s statements are “maintaining, protecting, and enhancing the prestige, power, and territory of the enterprise [YSL]” in the courtroom.

Fani Willis, the Fulton County District Attorney, believes YSL is directly responsible for “over 50” homicides caused by gun violence since 2015.

Thugger’s “Slatty” verse, in which he raps, “I slaughtered his man in front of his mommy, like fuck lil’ bruh, sister, and his cousin/I shoot out/Kill ’em, not leaving a trace,” is frequently highlighted in the indictment.

Young Thug’s attorneys will make their bond arguments in court on June 2. Prosecutors have also filed a motion to remove Thug’s lawyer, Brian Steel, from the case due to an alleged conflict of interest.

Thug is expected to appear on Calvin Harris’ next “Potion” single, which will be released on Friday and features British pop singer Dua Lipa (May 27).
