On Monday, Disney+ unveiled the trailer for an upcoming documentary featuring Elton John.

A peek into the icon’s personal troubles may be found in the trailer for Elton John: Never Too Late.

In the trailer, he declares, “My soul had gone dark, I’d gone dark.” Furthermore, I wasn’t fun to be around. Other than my medications and my accomplishments, I had nothing. I took quite a few pills. I believed I would drown.

He struggled with the sense that something was lacking from his life.

“As he prepares for his final concert in North America at Dodger Stadium, Elton takes us back in time and recounts the extraordinary highs and heartbreaking lows of his early years and how he overcame adversity, abuse and addiction to become the icon he is today,” according to the official synopsis.

According to a press release, Elton John will also debut a new song in the documentary.

On November 15, Never Too Late will make its theatrical debut. On December 13, it will be available for streaming on Disney+.
