With the launch of an initial slate of 10 new channels, DirecTV and A+E Networks have announced a partnership that will bring many of A+E’s biggest library properties to DirecTV streaming and satellite consumers.
These new additions instantly expand the extensive library of content that DirecTV subscribers have access to, including a selection of popular shows and programming from A&E, Lifetime, and The History Channel. All DirecTV subscribers can now access them through the Internet and DirecTV Stream. Additionally, satellite subscribers can use the DirecTV app to view any channel.
Hearst and the Disney-ABC Television Group jointly own A+E Networks.

Senior vice president of content and programming at DirecTV Linda Burakoff stated, “We are working across all of our top programming suppliers to ensure they get it.
