Cassie was out and about in New York City, flashing her grin and soaking up the wonderful vibes… while her ex Diddy is imprisoned in a completely other reality: lonely and behind bars in a famously dirty Brooklyn prison.
The singer appeared at ease as she headed to the trendy hotspot “Left Bank” for an al fresco meal Wednesday… and the fun continued as she appeared to excitedly show her friends something on her phone at the dining table.
While we can’t be certain, it’s safe to assume that Diddy came up in conversation at some point, especially given he was sensationally denied bail on the same day.
Whether Diddy was mentioned or not, Cassie appears to be relishing in her route to justice, especially since the 2016 hotel surveillance tape of the disgraced tycoon assaulting her surfaced months ago.
Though Cassie was not named, Assistant U.S. Attorney Emily Johnson highlighted the hotel tape in court when she addressed Diddy’s “Freak Off” events, charging he attempted to coerce a woman into having sex with an escort in 2016.
The prosecutor stated that Diddy’s alleged incident with Cassie proves he cannot be trusted, and that the half-dozen sex workers involved in the case are only the “tip of the iceberg.”
As previously reported, Diddy was denied bail following a judge’s verdict, and was returned to MDC Brooklyn, where his attorney Marc Agnifilo called the conditions as “inhumane.”
