An extensive investigation has been launched into the Macomb Correctional Facility in Michigan after two prisoners uploaded a music video online that was shot using cell phones inside the prison.
All Department of Corrections institutions across the nation forbid convicts from using cell phones.
In response to the video, Chris Gautz, spokesman for the Michigan Department of Corrections, said: “It’s extremely dangerous [to have phones inside state prisons], especially if they can access the internet, because they can be used to plan escapes, annoy witnesses, or place “hits” on people inside or outside the prison.”
