Jim Jones recently praised Drake as the best rapper of all time, even surpassing Jay-Z, in an interview with a source.
The Harlemite discussed how he collaborated with the rapper Her Loss for his recent Apollo Theatre performance and how Dipset’s participation in the intimate concert came about.
Drake is very appreciative of the fact that we grew up listening to Dipset songs. In other words, it was just a complete circle [moment]; it was dope,” he explained. “He gave us roses, which not many people do for us. which we merit. a ’nuff said? It’s also a family-friendly activity. Drake is Young Money, and Dipset is Young Money. It is one large household.
After that, Jones declared Drake to be “the greatest of all time” and questioned him about his opinion of the artist’s present status in the Hip-Hop pantheon.
“He is the best of all time, in my opinion. Just hand that to him, please. And yes, I am aware that many individuals contributed to the development of hip-hop. But to say that he is the best of all time and to maintain his relevance year after year with hits and records is a bold claim. Any single that he has put out has seemed to go multiple platinum. Nothing like that has ever occurred in history. There are a few other individuals who perform such astronomical calculations, but he really is in it. from all musical perspectives.
This game has undergone tremendous change thanks to Jay-Z. He reminds me of Michael Jordan in terms of what he has accomplished since entering the game and where he is right now. However, Jay stopped making songs in the past. And in that area, that void—I’m not sure if it is a void—Drake has remained, is still going strong, and doesn’t appear to be slowing down any time soon. You must hand it to him. Definitely Tupac, Drake, or Lil Wayne are among the best. And the reason I’m mentioning Tupac is because I’m being vain. Coming up, he was my all-time hero.
