Diddy’s lawyers are calling out federal prosecutors who say they did not collect the mogul’s trial preparation documents during a recent raid on his detention cell.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

According to fresh legal documents obtained by TMZ, Diddy’s attorney, Marc Agnifilo, claims prison personnel photographed 19 pages of information from Diddy’s cell, including 11 pages of trial strategy notes and correspondence with his lawyers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The feds said Monday in legal documents that they saw a manila envelope labeled “legal” but did not open it. They admitted to photographing Diddy’s notepad, which they claim they turned over to a “filter team” to determine whether any of the information was confidential. Diddy’s lawyers are already claiming shenanigans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Regarding the 11 pages, Agnifilo claims the notes reflect actual conversations with his attorneys about components of his trial preparations and efforts to be released on bond. He adds that the notes include discussions concerning potential defense witnesses and experts, as well as cross-examination of prosecution witnesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Agnifilo alleges that prosecutors are now in possession of materials they have no legal right to have. And he adds: “Once they got them [photos of the documents], the first thing they did was use them, specifically use them by putting them in a bail letter to keep Combs in jail.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Agnifilo further dismisses the officials’ assertion that everything happened as part of a pre-planned raid on all convicts, not just Diddy. He claims that prison personnel were monitoring Diddy’s jail calls, which prosecutors acknowledged, and used the sweep “as a pretext to conduct a targeted seizure of Mr. Combs’ handwritten notes about conversations with his lawyers.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
