Logic feels that his current project, Ultra 85, comes directly from his heart, but all of his hard work did not pay off \u2014 monetarily.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

While on his way to Detroit, the rapper spoke with TMZ about his new goal of creating happy “turn-up shit” like Playboi Carti.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“What I’ve noticed is I’ve been on a run of doing super-Hip Hop music \u2014 that shit doesn’t pay the bills at all,” the musician told the publication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“It’s because I used to make all of my money doing pop and turn-up trash, and now I’m fortunate enough to be a musician, to be able to compose music from my heart. But next year, I’ll fuck ’em up. I’m about to drop this Playboi Carti trap, turn-up trash, and go get a bag and have some fun.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

“I did my best, and I believe it’s vital to speak from the heart. But it’s also okay to get money.”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n

Logic’s Ultra 85 has been in the works for about eight years and has guest appearances from T Man The Wizard, DJ Drama, AD\u00c9, Lucy Rose, Zelooperz, and Robert Ivory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ultra 85 was the working title for the 34-year-old rapper’s brief retirement album in 2020. When he signed off under No Pressure instead, many felt he just altered the package’s name while keeping the same tracklist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, the outro of “Heard Em Say” from the album has a robotic voice saying: “This concludes the No Pressure program\/No Pressure- Ultra 85, welcome to the Ultra 85 program.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
