Dr. Mark Chavez’s lawyer, Matthew Binninger, tells TMZ\u2026 By submitting a guilty plea and collaborating with the authorities, Mark has acknowledged responsibility for his actions and initiated the process of relinquishing his medical license.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The medical board will file a complaint against him and ask that his license be revoked based on the factual foundation from the plea deal. His license will be canceled at that point if we concur with that conclusion. Although the medical board has the last say, I am unable to provide you with a specific date for when that will occur. However, the process is underway and with the guilty plea already entered, it should happen shortly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Due to his recent admission of guilt, one of the doctors accused in relation to Matthew Perry’s ketamine-related death is getting closer to going to jail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the two doctors implicated in the Perry case, Dr. Mark Chavez, entered a guilty plea to one count of conspiracy to distribute ketamine in federal court on Wednesday in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n\n\n

As we previously documented, Chavez struck a speedy agreement with the federal government following numerous arrests related to Perry’s demise. He’s made his proper entry now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chavez’s sentence is scheduled for April of next year, but he could spend as much as ten years in prison.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, Chavez is still free on a $50,000 bond; also, he has given up his passport and promised not to practice medicine.<\/p>\n\n\n

It is said that he has given up his medical license. The feds claim that Dr. Salvador Plasencia, one of the other alleged suspects, sent Chavez an email that said, “I wonder how much this moron will pay [for the ketamine].”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Along with Erik Fleming, who the prosecution claims assisted in arranging the drug trades, and Perry’s assistant Kenneth Iwamasa, Dr. Chavez is one of three people who accepted plea pleas in Matthew’s case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, the other two charged in the case \u2026 Dr. Plasencia and Jasveen Sangha, AKA “The Ketamine Queen,” \u2026 are contesting their allegations, and have both pled not guilty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
