Simone Biles was taken aback when a Parisian nightclub attempted to charge her a whopping $26,000 for one bottle of champagne following the 2024 Olympics.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

“We had closing ceremonies at the Olympics.” “I went, and then we went out,” Biles, 27, said in a TikTok video posted Monday. “You guys, this club tried to charge me $26,000 for a bottle of Champagne.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Olympic gymnast admitted that she “obviously” did not buy the pricey alcohol.<\/p>\n\n\n

Her supporters agreed that the membership fee was a steep amount for a single bottle of alcohol and swamped the comments area of her article with feedback.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“$26K is crazy omg,” one user replied with a crying-face emoji.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“$26K??? That’s outrageous,” another user concurred, with a third noting, “$26K just made me upset cause what?!”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Was it L’Arc?? \ud83d\ude2d,” another person asked, referring to an upmarket disco club in Paris with a champagne buffet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Biles did not reveal the name of the club where the incident occurred, despite posting images clubbing with her sister inside L’Arc after the Olympics ended last week.<\/p>\n\n\n

“The reason I’m unwell this morning,” Biles captioned a photo of a bottle parade at the venue, complete with champagne, sparkles, a placard that read, “Gym Legend Simone Biles @L’Arc Paris” and another one that read, “God 4 Life.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While Biles thought spending that type of money was entirely unnecessary, her parents, Ronald and Nellie Biles, spent a lot of money to commemorate their daughter becoming the most decorated gymnast of all time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Simone uploaded images from the Herm\u00e8s store in Paris, later revealing that her parents got her a purse from the French fashion house to commemorate her 2024 Paris Olympics victory.<\/p>\n\n\n

“My parents bought me my Hermes bag \ud83e\udd70,” she said on Threads last week. “don’t be mad at me, be mad at your parents.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year, the athlete won three gold medals in the women’s artistic solo all-around, women’s artistic team all-around, and women’s vault events, as well as one bronze medal in the women’s floor routine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She effectively became the most decorated gymnast in history, with 11 Olympic medals and 30 World Championship medals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
