Conjoined twins Abby and Brittany Hensel have returned to the spotlight after Abby married, and people have many questions about their lives.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The twins were born in 1990 and had the same body, including all of their organs below the waist and blood supply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Abby and Brittany were the topic of the TLC show Abby and Brittany, and they also appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show for an interview.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Abby and Brittany have distinct degrees from Bethel University and work as elementary school teachers.<\/p>\n\n\n

While they both work, they are given the same salary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Abby informed the BBC about this: “Obviously, straight once, we recognize that we will only be paid one pay because we are doing the job of one person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“As maybe experience comes in we’d like to negotiate a little bit, considering we have two degrees and because we are able to give two different perspectives or teach in two different ways.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brittany continued, “One can teach while the other monitors and answers questions. So we can do more than one person.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How do they eat?
The twins will sometimes eat separately, and they will have two stomachs and higher digestive systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They do, however, share the same bladder and lower digestive system, including excretion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a result, they frequently like to share a meal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Abby and Brittany can drive, having passed their test on their 16th birthday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brittany clarified: “Abby takes over the pedals and the shifter, we both steer, and I take over the blinker and the lights.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their mother, Patty, added, “I’m not sure what would happen if they were pulled over for speeding.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
