Indianapolis police are investigating Patrick Beverley after he tossed a ball at a fan during the Milwaukee Bucks’ Game 6 clash against the Indiana Pacers in the NBA playoffs.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Detectives have verified to The Athletic that they are now investigating video evidence of the incident, which occurred on Tuesday (May 7) with 2:32 remaining in the fourth quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“They are working with Gainbridge Fieldhouse to review video footage and plan to speak with the parties involved,” reporter Shams Charania stated in an X post the next day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the last minutes of the Bucks’ series-ending loss to Indiana, Beverley, who was acquired by the Bucks in a mid-season deal with the Philadelphia 76ers, was seen firmly tossing a basketball thrown by a Pacers fan back in their direction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After Beverley’s confrontation with the fan went viral, the former University of Arkansas star took to social media to justify his conduct. He said that the fan had grown disruptive and that officials of the Bucks organization had sought to calm the situation before the event. “Not fair at all,” he said on X, in response to footage of the act. “All night, I exchanged messages with a fan and our baseball team. We warned and sought for assistance all night. “Not fair.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
