People are taking to social media to urge Cardi B to take action following her performance on the 2024 Met Gala’s livestream.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

While most people resort to social media to comment on the Met Gala’s fashion successes and faux pas, last night (6 May), when Cardi B was sighted on the red carpet at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, everyone was left thinking the same thing, and it had nothing to do with her outfit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cardi B – full name Belcalis Marlenis Cephus – donned a Windowsen design for this year’s theme, ‘Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion,’ with the official dress code ‘The Garden of Time,’ inspired by J.G. Ballard’s 1962 short tale of the same name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The gown was a black off-the-shoulder piece with massive plumes of skirt and a full-circle train.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ‘WAP’ rapper paired the ensemble with equally eye-catching earrings and a stunning necklace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oh, and she needed nine men to help her carry her garment because it was so enormous and heavy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, it wasn’t simply her dress that drew social media users’ attention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cardi was caught in Vogue’s live feed of the event, but so was her phone, and more importantly, the camera captured her opening her phone from the lock screen and tapping in her password slowly to account for her long nails – her password on display for all to see.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It didn’t take long for people to swarm online, concerned for the musician’s safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One X user commented, “Did we just see Cardi B’s phone password on British Vogue’s Tiktok Live? Lol #MetGala.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We just got cardi b’s phone password on live television,” another stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A third added, “OMG THE MET GALA IS SOOO MESSSSYYYYYY I KNOW CARDI B’S PHONE PASSWORD.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“CARDI B, THE WHOLE WORLD KNOWS YOUR PHONE PASSWORD NOW,” a fourth added.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

And a final resolution: “Now why would you post this.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, unless someone stole Cardi’s phone later in the evening and able to enter her password and access other information, she’s probably fine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And, with tickets to the 2024 Met Gala reported to cost $75,000 each and tables starting at $350,00, I believe the rapper was secure from any type of scam or extortion.<\/h6>\n\n\n\n
