ByteDance is fighting calls to sell TikTok. According to Reuters, ByteDance has until January 19, 2025 to market the program after Biden signed the bill banning it.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Shou Zi Chew, CEO of TikTok, denounced the measure as “unconstitutional,” telling viewers, “This is a ban on TikTok and a ban on you and your voice.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He later stated, “Politicians may say otherwise, but don’t be confused. Many of the bill’s sponsors confess that banning TikTok is the ultimate goal.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Reuters, TikTok would prefer to shut down operations in the United States rather than sell its assets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
