Beyonc\u00e9’s latest album, Cowboy Carter, is a family affair, including a guest appearance by her six-year-old daughter Rumi Carter.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

While the highly anticipated project boasts famous stars like Miley Cyrus, Post Malone, Dolly Parton, and Willie Nelson, Queen Bey also works with Rumi, one of the twins she gave birth to in 2017.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rumi appears briefly in the beginning of “Protector,” the fourth song on the lengthy 27-track country album, when she asks, “Mom, can I hear the lullaby please?”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The song, a touching acoustic ballad about Beyonc\u00e9’s love for her children, has lyrics like: “I will lead you down that road if you lose your way\/ Born to be a protector\/ Even though I know someday you’ll shine on your own\/ I will be your projector.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following Cowboy Carter’s release on Friday (March 28), fans reacted strongly to the touching tune.<\/h6>\n\n\n\n

One user said on social media, “k but Beyonc\u00e9 wait because I wasn’t ready for PROTECTOR” beside a gif of Dua Lipa sobbing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
