The FIFA Club World Cup final will feature the first-ever halftime performance by Doja Cat and J Balvin.

Tems, J Balvin, and Doja were confirmed as the main artists for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup Final on Monday. This will be the first time the sporting event has included a halftime extravaganza.

The performance, which is coordinated by Chris Martin, the frontman of Coldplay, and produced by Global Citizen, will be aired globally for free on DAZN.com on July 13 at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

Colombian artist J Balvin, whose real name is José Balvín, expressed his excitement about playing the main act at the forthcoming event in a recent statement.

“From Medellín to MetLife – I’m honoured to headline the first-ever halftime show of the FIFA Club World Cup final,” wrote the comedian. “It’s a historic moment, for me, for Latin culture and for every kid who dreams big.”

Temilade Openiyi, a Nigerian singer-songwriter, went on to say, “We’re going to bring the world together for a beautiful moment.”

“To celebrate football, feel the unity that music brings, and improve the lives of millions of children through the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund,” she said. “I can’t wait – see you at the Club World Cup final.”

Global Citizen will use the event to raise money and awareness to help eradicate extreme poverty in addition to the performances. The project intends to raise $100 million (£74 million) to improve children’s access to football fields and educational opportunities.

The top 32 club teams in the world will compete in 11 cities during the redesigned FIFA Club World Cup, which will be held in the United States from June 14 to July 13.
